Santa took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to make an appearance in Protection.  He left his sleigh and reindeer on a farm field little west of Protection for rest and to fill their tummies for their next scheduled stop, arriving in Protection
on a trailer pulled by Brian Harris.  He handed out candy to all the children that appeared for Santa’s Day in Downtown Protection, traveling on to the Protection Library Gallery for a visit with the children of Protection.  Santa was able to visit
with 57 youth and a few adults that came to the gallery attached to the Protection Township Library, Sunday afternoon December 12th.  Children of all ages, sizes told Santa what they would like for Christmas and posed for a photo, a few climbed willingly onto
his lap for a visit, and a few were little standoffish.   Santa later posed with a few of the adults that came to visit with him, some wanted photo’s sitting on his lap, some just wanted to kiss him, some just wanted a photo with Santa.  A couple dropped
in and requested a photo with Santa—I think Santa might of reminded them of their son. If you missed this event at the library check out the video.
